Instructions
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F and grease 13x9x2 cake pan.
Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Add shortening, applesauce and water: beat 2 minutes, scraping bottom and sides of the bowl constantly.
Add eggs and mix.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Pour into pan and bake 45-50 minutes.
Frost with maple butter frosting.
